a new operating system launched in jan 2007 called Windows® Vista code name longhorn.... few beta releases were launched before of which i got to try 2, it was released to businesses on sep06 and to public on jan07,,, and here in kuwait 1st introduction was in mushref during feb

ease of use:

right from the strat menu, a search bar which combines both run and search in which u can search for files or run programs


Quick Search using indexing:


here within ur windows.... Windows® Vista will index all the files that u frequently use and make them available for u right when u ask for them by typin da name or keyword in the quick search panel in ur windows


also available in control panel and help

Windows Aero:



a visual effect feature that involves highly advanced techniques in interface and graphical desktop
avialable features include the new flip object ( which i thnk they r copyn u know whom operating system)

vewing running programs right from ur start menu bar

and an update to what used to be called ALT + TAB program switching in xp:

allows u 2 add any type of gadget that u can find on the internet and install,,, these gadgets can include anything , games, ftp servers login, chat rooms , stcok exchange, rss feedback center, weather, windows media player, i hav even seen 1 in which u can view ur hotmail account from,,
i good thing 2 mention here is that even microsoft couldnt think of any more usefull gadgets 2 put and so it made this gadget programing contest,, cool so far many new and very nice 1nes u can install from microsoft.com

windows security center and windows defender..... a fire wall and antipiracy software:


now from my experience vista was pretty effective in antipiracy and that was clear 2 me while i tryn 2 illegaly activate my copy of windows vista .... i searched all around the web for crackers of which non worked... not coz their designers r stupid but becase microsoft will directly update its activation software slui.exe and deactivate da hack

only few crackers were able 2 break into it and only 2 limited builds of vista (build 6000)thnx manabry yr:5

i think that it still lacks somthing as its full of bugs @ least those reported by me and i think this is another example of windows melinum lauched in 2000

like said b4.... microsoft co-operation has decleard that a new windows will b launched in 2009 which will b administrated as a project by dr. fathi ( arabic origion) .... not coz of anythin only coz 115milllion copies if illegal copies of vista r workin now since its launch and that a worldwide know cracking company called defcon has declared it was able 2 find many bugs and problems in vista's security
